I rest with my Lion

Life can be a real whirlwind.
We get a word of direction and we run.
Sometimes along the way, we forget where we've came from.
We forget the source.
We don't forget consciously, we just get so caught up in LIFE, that we don't make TIME for the source.

My source is Jesus.

I have been back home in Scotland for a couple of months now. Having travelled across the globe sharing the word of God and loving people in a multitude of countries and situations. I always struggled coming home. I couldn't DO that in my homeland.
This time, something has changed. Something has changed in me and I've had increased boldness to step out in my gifting and to LOVE with Papa's love here in Scotland.

I feel like God has hit the accelaration pedal on me since I arrived home.
'Hitting the ground running' you might say.
I've been involved in praying for the public on the street, speaking prophecies over peoples lives and sharing God's love with them, I've been involved in a prophetic art ministry. I've been helping out at a 'ladies night' for homeless women in another town, massaging, chatting, serving dinners. I've had my heart absolutely broken and wrenched by a Romanian family I have befriended. I've been burdened by love for my work mates and people I have random encounters with on a daily basis. I have been meeting up with people most days or nights of the week for coffee and catch up, along with new friendships which are being formed. All are an absolute blessing.

I take photographs daily of things that catch my eye. I write in my journal everyday capturing the things I am learning and process what I'm experiencing. I try to balance spending good quality time with my immediate family and my grandparents and I also have a very active church life at the Lighthouse in Troon. I attend a Life Group in Ayr every Wednesday night and on Tuesdays I try to go to Zumba classes to keep my body moving a bit.

Life is full.
I realise I am not a mother with kids and I dont work a full time job so perhaps someone reading this may think I have an easy life. However, they will relate to me when they realise their plate is more full than they can sometimes bear. They are giving away so much of themselves that they hardly have anything left by the end of the day, week or month.

Today God really spoke to my heart.
I realised that I have been carrying a burden for so many people and so many minstries and situations that are NOT mine to carry. I've been trying to walk through life with heavy weights on my shoulders which are unnecessary to be carrying.
I think of Jesus and I'm reminded of his wisdom.
He ONLY did what the Father told him to do.
This is simple and wise.
I want to be of the same mindset. I want to ONLY do what the Father directs me to do. Anything outside of that is a heavy burden and I place it on myself and God desperately wants to relieve me of it.

Today I re-surrender my life to my FATHER'S will for me.
I come back to basics. I sit in His presence and I ask, 'What did you ASK me to do this week?'

I cannot walk through life on my strength, or my own ideas. I cannot even rely on my own compassion.

MY heart is so moved to compassion for people but I cannot fix the world and I cannot fix everyones life. I trust and know that God's ways are higher than mine and his thoughts are higher than mine. His plans are GOOD and I must only be obedient to what He asks.

I am honoured He would choose me.
Honoured He would want to walk through life with me.
Honoured He would like to partner with me and create with me.

He loves my heart and who I am.
He loves me when I sing to Him but He loves me just as much when I am silent.
He loves me when I bless others but loves me just as much when I take time out for myself.
This is the truth from my Papa's mouth. My strong Lion Papa.
I rest on His lap. I sleep in His bed. I walk with Him.
He leads me by the still waters and His goodness restores my soul.
I will trust in Him ALONE.
My source.

Pache. ('Peace' in Romanian)

Never Say Goodbye

Twilight on the frozen lake

North wind about to break
On footprints in the snow
Silence down below

You’re beautiful beyond words
You're beautiful to me
You can make me cry
Never say goodbye

Time is all I have to give
You can have it if you choose
With me you can live
Never say goodbye

My dreams are made of iron and steel
With a big bouquet
Of roses hanging down
From the heavens to the ground

The crashing waves roll over me
As I stand upon the sand
Wait for you to come
And grab hold of my hand

Oh, baby, baby, baby blue
You’ll change your last name, too
You’ve turned your hair to brown
Love to see it hangin’ down

Bob Dylan. You weave a masterpiece in my mind and I'm transported.
Thanks for expressing what I feel.
Peace.

Food for Thought.

In the end, LOVE wins.
Let's remember that hope.

I Make His Heart Sing! (He told me so)

Love begets love.

His love washes over me. Pours over me like a waterfall.
He is my beginning.
He is my source.

I am your fountain. Drink from the Living water.
Come bow down and drink.
You have all your need.
Never thirst again.
Come to me.
Find your identity in me my child, I love you.

I feed you with good things.
Come eat the fruit my child, never go hungry again
Come close.
Be near to me.
Don’t run away, you can’t do it alone

Come near to me;
I’ll hold your hand,
Walk with you and feed you.
Don’t you know, I’ll give you the manna
Fresh bread from heaven?
I have the greatest bakery;
Made for you my child!

Come closer.
You are my daughter
And I adore you.
I love to look upon your face.
I love your eyes.
I love your smile.

I long to feed you and nourish your soul.
Make sure you fill yourself with trustworthy and good things.
I promise you everything, all your heart desires!
All you need is me.
Come closer my child, my child.
You are beloved.
My beautiful child;
What a glorious face you have!
How I love to look at you!
I love to sing to you!
You make my heart sing!

I’m in love with you,
Nothing can change that.
Over and over again I will love you.
I will always adore you.
Never take my eyes away from you.
Always in Daddy’s sight.

Hope

A couple of months have passed since I last wrote on here. Where do I possibly begin?

One thing I’ve been reminded of, is that my heart is a fragile thing. When our hearts are involved in something, we tend to have a gun-ho attitude and this is precisely the moment when we choose to turn (even if ever so slightly) from God. We don’t exclude Him or try to kick Him out, but we certainly don’t invite Him in.
At this time, we are so vulnerable. We have made an unconscious decision to walk this part alone. Whether it’s because we’re wrapped up in love or our own plans or our own ideas, we drop the ball.
There have been moments over the last couple of months where I openly confess; I have tried to do things alone. I have had  my own agenda and in those moments I chose to say, “Ok Dad, I’ve got it from here. Thanks for the help.”
How silly can one be to exclude the Maker of Heaven and earth from their plans?!
Turns out, I fall into that silly category time after time.

“In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.” Prov 16:9

The thing I simply adore about my Papa, is that He never gets tired of hugging me. He never gets bored of forgiving me and welcoming me back into His arms. I do not understand this kind of love, this unconditional selfless love but I want to know it more. He isn’t mad that I tried to go it alone; He just knows it would have been easier with Him. He doesn’t hold anything against me and He doesn’t withhold good from me out of spite, no, He is so overwhelmingly LOVE.
He is love through and through.

I desire to be on an isolated island, somewhere in Scotland; to raise my hands and to dance and worship my Maker alone. I don’t need to think about anyone being around me. I can focus wholly and fully on my God, my King. I can give Him all the glory that is due to Him, He truly deserves the HIGHEST of praise! He deserves all I have. Life cannot be peaceful and secure without Him.

“A man’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand his own way?” Prov. 20:24

How can we ever ignore these pieces of advice from the throne room? These gold nuggets of pure wisdom from our Papa who wants best for us?

“Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For whoever finds me, finds life and receives favour from the Lord.”
Prov 8:34-35

Such truth cannot be avoided. I long to acknowledge God in all I do, I long to make Him part of every single decision and it really only comes through a life of practice and dedication. Our very nature wants to be independent and to go our own way. It takes much more effort to put our face to the floor, to humble ourselves and to admit that we CANNOT do this life alone! We need God in EVERYTHING we do!

I am reminded that my Papa is PASSIONATE about us. He is PASSIONATE about us. He wants to be in our days, everyday, every waking moment. How is that possible?
Talk.
Talk to your Maker. Chat to Him during your day. Like you would text/call a friend, but BETTER and way more fulfilling!
Include Him in everything we do, ask Him questions, practice listening to His voice, endeavour to CHASE Him and seek His face!!!!!!!!
It’s possible to live in harmony with the Lord, to hang out everyday and the great thing is, the more we feed our spirit and the more we encourage ourselves as spiritual beings, the more our flesh doesn’t have room to breath!
Praise God for that HOPE!

I pray that I can know more of what it means to commune with you everyday Papa and to include you in everything, that YOU would feel treasured and cherished.

Jesus Always Tugs My Heart Strings

Well.
I never knew watching Bridget Jones Diary as an adult would make me think as much as it has. I mean, in many ways it’s an annoying movie. Hugh Grant is in it playing his usual ‘I am a bumbling kinda handsome yet geeky English idiot with a posh accent and a quiff’ character. But something about Mr Darcy strikes a chord in me.
He looks at her differently.
He doesn’t take his eyes away from hers.
He speaks straight and direct to her.
She knows where she stands with him.
He truly likes her, just as she is.
She is clumsy and silly and makes a fool of herself very easily but he sees her.

It’s beautiful.

My favourite scene has to be when she runs out in the snow after him in her running shoes, knickers and a jumper. Hahaha. This is definitely the sort of thing I would do and I love that she’s so focused on the moment that she doesn’t care what she’s wearing or that she will get cold.
Then she sees him and he sees her.
He wraps her up in his big coat and I melt into a pile of goo on the floor.

This week I heard a piece of advice being passed onto some young women.
"Wait for the man that makes the overtures. The man that goes way beyond the call of duty. The man that makes it known that it is YOU he is after. The man that makes his intentions so clear towards you. The man that treats you differently than he treats anyone. "
Good advice.
I’m glad God is romantic.
He’s the most romantic person I have ever encountered.
Romance is His nature.
God didn’t create romance, He is romance.
I’m thankful my heart is tuned into this, as ‘soppy’ as it may seem, I find it rather endearing.
Thank you for Romance.

As Daddy Continues To Reveal...............

April 27th 2010
Flight from Amsterdam to Atlanta

Daddy, I have just watched Blindside, the movie about Michael Oere. I have tears that won't stop and I need to vent what I am feeling so I am writing to you. I'm in a plane full of people and I just want to praise you and thank you so much for your LOVE for Michael and for challenging and burdening one woman's heart for him as a young man.
I am inspired by this testimony of you love, and Dad I desire to be like that in my life. I pray I would live a life worthy of the calling you have put on my heart.

A life of love.
I want to live a life of love in action. I want to be more like you. Your care and love for just one overwhelmed me. Your favour over Michael blows my minds. I am truly in awe of your character and your ability to offer hope and turn circumstances around completely.
The love that you have for Michael is the same love you have for me.
I can barely fathom it.
I cannot begin to imagine your plans for me.
When you look at me, you desire me to flourish. Thank you.

I love that your love makes me cry.
I love that I am stirred by you.
I am thankful that I FEEL so intensly like I do.
I know that my emotional reactions are beautiful and I know you created me with them for a reason and  a purpose.
You are so good.

Sunday 2nd May
Harvest Church - Pensacola, FL

Today Daddy is reminding me about the importance of cultivating the fruits of the spirit.
I am thankful that I have the opportunity to remain in you and that I am growing when I am connected to you.
BLISS!!!!!
fruit fruit fruit fruit!!!! rich tasty goodness! overflowing of juices! quality! heavenly! divine!

I am reminded of God's word to me about having my roots deep deep in Him, flourishing in His gaze, flourishing in His presence, flourishing in Kingdom things of VALUE.
"Whoever trusts in His riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf." Prov 11:28 Amen!!

All of these words are reminders of words and seeds that God placed in my heart over a year ago, it's so precious to see how I have grown and that there is still much more room for adventurous learning with Dad.
Closer and closer to Him. Caught up in a whirlwhind of love and romance with my Maker. Truly lovesick.

It's the joy of being lovesick! The pleasures of loving you!

"But the time is coming—it has, in fact, come—when what you're called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter. It's who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That's the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration."
John 4: 22-23 (Message)

Just BE Ali.
The Breathe of God.
Feel His Breath.
Let Him Breathe on you.

I love this verse. I don't feel like I've seen this verse before and it really connected to my Spirit. It's the Word that I'm trusting God for in my life because I have no supporters as such.
"Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occassion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God."
2 Cor 9:10-11
YES!!!! I believe it. I've experienced it. God miraculously increases finances and provides for His children and those who are faithful to Him.

17th May 2010

Ali, be generous in your encouragement like it has been given to you.
Pour on positive words of love to affirm and reassure that everything is possible with Me!

When you see something broken, help it and fix it and create a culture of WHOLENESS.
Kingdom culture direct from heaven, not the culture we recognise on earth.

Don't ever be hesitant to bless people Ali!
We need to dream and be a hope for the hopeless and a voice for the voiceless!

Daddy says I am:
MOTHER, ENCOURAGER, WORDS, INTERCESSION, PRAYER, HEALING HANDS, VISIONARY/DREAMING & SPEAKING OUT DREAMS FOR PEOPLE, HUGGER, NOT THE SOCIAL NORM, TO STAND OUT, TO STAND UP TALL, TO BE A VOICE, TO POUR OUT FROM THE WELL OF LOVE AND PROVISION I HAVE RECEIVED.
Amen.
